I think it’s totally appropriate. What happened, if you don’t mind me asking?
I’m at work right now and a sweet old lady came in and said she was taking donations for…something. I wasn’t listening too intently. I then tried to get out of it by saying the owners weren’t in today and they are in charge of spending store money for stuff like that.
Then she says, “Well how about a personal donation?” Uuugh. So I say fine, but I don’t have much money on me. That part is true. I never have that much money on me because most of my money goes towards bullshit things like rent and food with a very small amount every week for personal use. (And I don’t have a checking account, so any money that is on my persons is all I have in the world.) I had $10 in my wallet so I ended up giving $4.
I should feel bad for being selfish, but life’s too short for that so I gave that up long ago. I just like wasting my money on my own terms.
